Baseball Game Preview: Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions vs. Animo De La Hoya Boxers

After both having extra time off, the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions and the Animo De La Hoya Boxers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Collins Family 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since May 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Animo De La Hoya). They were the clear victors by an 18-4 margin over Animo Bunche last Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Boxers with their most commanding win of the season.

Animo De La Hoya pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Animo De La Hoya in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Boxers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
