Petaluma won the last time they faced Napa and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans took their game with ease, bagging a 50-19 win over the Grizzlies. Considering the Trojans have won four contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Petaluma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonah Crichton, who rushed for 86 yards and one score on only eight carries. Another rusher making a difference was Brody Stevens, who rushed for 72 yards and one TD on only seven carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Petaluma was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 340 rushing yards. They rushed for 97 more rushing yards than Napa's also-impressive total of 243.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jack Hogya, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Petaluma's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.3 points over those games. As for Napa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
