Basketball Recap: Adin Smajlovic Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Uplift

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Mather ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They snuck past the Uplift Titans with a 68-63 win. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mather to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adin Smajlovic, who posted 32 points. Smajlovic's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Chalwe, who earned 19 points.

Mather's record now sits at 11-16. As for Uplift, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-5.

Looking ahead, Mather will head out on the road to challenge Northridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Uplift has already played their next contest (against Englewood Stem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
