Basketball Recap: Rock River Takes a Loss

Rock River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-25 heartbreaker at the hands of the Midwest Oilers. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oilers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Rock River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Midwest, they moved to 3-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Rock River has already played their next matchup, a 46-12 loss against Niobrara County on the 1st. Midwest has also already played their next contest (against Upton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
