The Madison Trojans will venture away from home to  challenge the Adrian Maples  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Madison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1  runs per game  this season.
Adrian will  square off against  a team with plenty of momentum: Madison extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-5  victory over Ida.
 Camylie Sower spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Macie Kilpatrick was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. That  double was  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Kalexiana Wrest, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Madison  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least ten  hits in three consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Adrian fell victim to Saline and their airtight pitching crew  on Wednesday. They came up short against  the Hornets, falling  15-0. The Maples have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
 Madison's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-1. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Adrian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
 Madison came out on top in a nail-biter against Adrian when the teams last played  back in April of 2023, sneaking past  11-9. Will the Trojans repeat their success,  or do  the Maples have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
