Softball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Pinkerton Astros. The Green Wave were not able to make up for their defeat to the Astros from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Dover saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaliyah Lafleur, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Pinkerton, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Dover will welcome Exeter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.06 runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pinkerton, they will square off against Bishop Guertin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
