Basketball Game Preview: Deer Park Deer vs. Dickinson Gators

The Deer Park Deer will head out to square off against the Dickinson Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Deer Park came up short against Clear Springs on Saturday, falling 71-50. The Deer haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Dickinson unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Clear Falls by a score of 63-61. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (56), the Gators still had to take the loss.

Deer Park will need focus on slowing down David Chong, one of several Dickinson players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 14 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Valin Idusuyi, who put up nine points and five boards.

Deer Park's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Dickinson, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-12.

Deer Park suffered a grim 77-51 defeat to Dickinson when the teams last played back in January. Can Deer Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
