Max Mccomb leads a balanced attack to beat Anderson Prep Academy

The University Trailblazers waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Anderson Prep Academy with points to spare, taking the game 72-56. Given University's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Anderson Prep Academy is ranked 390th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
University's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Max Mccomb led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Mccomb pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Gray, who scored 22 points.
University's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Anderson Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
University will be playing in front of their home fans against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against International at 6:30 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully International focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Tuesday.
