For the second straight game, Selma will face off against Kingsburg. The Bears will face off against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Selma is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Selma couldn't beat Kingsburg on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Bears took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost seven in a row.

For Kingsburg's part, Jensen Hirschkorn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hirschkorn was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Gavin Ekizian was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Elijah Duarte was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Kingsburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Selma only posted an OBP of .290.

Kingsburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Selma, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
