Baseball Recap: Northeast Jones Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Northeast Jones couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Sumrall Bobcats on Friday, falling 14-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Kaden Padgett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double.

Northeast Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 22-8-1. As for Sumrall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sumrall beat Northeast Jones by a score of 8-2 on Saturday.
