Carencro can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They secured a 46-42 W over the Rayne Wolves. That's more bragging rights for the Bears, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Carencro's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Rayne, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Carencro and Rayne could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Carencro (ranked 169th) will meet Lake Charles College Prep (ranked eighth) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rayne will challenge Abbeville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 197 places (320 vs. 123).
