The Cornerstone Christian Cyclones will head out on the road to challenge the Heyworth Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Cornerstone Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Delavan and fell 6-5. The loss continues a trend for the Cyclones in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Josh Kursell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Cornerstone Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-11 otherwise. Cooper Knapp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Heyworth had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Chargers.
Carter Brooks made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Brooks was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Boston Katz, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Denning, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Heyworth hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matchups.
Heyworth's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-14. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Cornerstone Christian suffered a grim 10-3 defeat to Heyworth in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Cyclones avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
