Baseball Game Preview: Harriman Blue Devils vs. Midway Green Wave

For the second straight game, Harriman will face off against Midway. Harriman will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Midway at 6:00 p.m. Harriman comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Harriman came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Midway by a score of 5-3 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Blue Devils have suffered since April 16, 2024.

For Midway's part, the team relied heavily on Peyton Steele, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Steele is becoming a predictor of Midway's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't). Raymond Duncan also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Midway pushed their record up to 6-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Harriman, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
