Soccer Recap: St. Cloud Takes a Loss

St. Cloud managed to keep up with Cocoa Beach until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The St. Cloud Bulldogs lost 6-2 to the Cocoa Beach Minutemen. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Minutemen are ranked 58th).

St. Cloud's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Cocoa Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-1-1 record this season.

St. Cloud will take on Harmony in a tournament on Monday. As for Cocoa Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
