Baseball Recap: ALA - Queen Creek Extends Winning Streak to Three

ALA - Queen Creek waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in March.

Xander Mcrae looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Seth Nielson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tayden Brewer, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

ALA - Queen Creek's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Mica Mountain, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-12-1.

Looking ahead, ALA - Queen Creek will be playing at home against Saguaro at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sabercats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Mica Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
