Basketball Recap: Legion Collegiate Academy Comes Up Short

Legion Collegiate Academy lost against 1 of 1 Academy last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers came up short against the 1 of 1 Academy -, falling 74-53. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 31st in South Carolina, while the - are ranked fifth in North Carolina).

Despite the loss, Legion Collegiate Academy still got an impressive performance from Devin Long, who went 8 for 17 to rack up 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Long a new career-high in points. Amelia Williams was another key player, putting up ten points.
