Basketball Preview: Ysleta Indians vs. Hanks Knights
Ysleta is 1-9 against the Knights since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ysleta Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Hanks Knights at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Ysleta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
After soaring to a 29-point victory in their last game, Ysleta came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Del Valle by a score of 29-27. Ysleta has not had much luck with the Conquistadores recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Sophia Terrazas, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Hanks can now show off 19 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Parkland, posting a 62-16 victory at home. Hanks is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 15 straight.
Ysleta's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Hanks, they pushed their record up to 21-11 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Ysleta suffered a grim 54-32 defeat to the Knights when the teams last played back in January. Can Ysleta avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
