Baseball Game Preview: Jasper County Hurricanes vs. Towers Titans

For the first time this season, Jasper County will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will host the Towers Titans at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jasper County has three straight wins, Towers has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Saturday, everything went Jasper County's way against St. Francis as Jasper County made off with a 15-2 victory. Considering the Hurricanes have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Towers came up short against Putnam County on Friday, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Jasper County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Towers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
