Soccer Recap: Blaine Comes Up Short

Blaine lost against Sehome back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Borderites fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 2-1. Blaine's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Blaine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Sehome, they pushed their record up to 12-0-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blaine will challenge Ferndale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blaine are facing Ferndale at the right time seeing as Ferndale are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sehome, they will square off against Nooksack Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sehome will be up against Nooksack Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.92 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
