Baseball Recap: Green City Snags 16th Victory in Last 18 Games

There's no place like home for Green City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past the Princeton Tigers 10-1 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Gophers, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Green City is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Princeton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-14.

Looking ahead, Green City will venture away from home to square off against Albany at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gophers will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. Princeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
