Soccer Recap: Tarpon Springs Comes Up Short

The matchup between Tarpon Springs and Northeast on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Tarpon Springs Spongers came up short against the Northeast Vikings, falling 8-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Spongers were already down 3-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Tarpon Springs and nudges their season record down to 5-8-1. As for Northeast, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Tarpon Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northeast, they will square off against Sunlake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
