Baseball Recap: Bishop Kelly Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Bishop Kelly extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping their season record up to 14-9 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 21-5 margin over the Nampa Bulldogs. Considering the Knights have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sy Wong was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colin Brazil, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bishop Kelly kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 15 consecutive contests.

As for Nampa, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Nampa's side, Ethan Stauffer was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

As of now, neither Bishop Kelly nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
