Basketball Recap: Union County Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri, Union County was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They secured a 59-54 W over the Winchester Community Golden Falcons. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their 25-point performance the matchup before.

Union County pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Winchester Community, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union County and Hamilton Heights will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winchester Community, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lapel at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Lapel will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Winchester Community surely won't give up without a fight.
