Troy is 4-0 against Hillsboro since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Troy Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Hillsboro Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

While Trojans fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They put the hurt on Salado with a sharp 52-28 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Trojans have posted against the Eagles since August 29, 2014.

Jaden Terrence-Lucky had a dynamite game for Troy, rushing for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Joseph Mcmurtry was another key player, throwing for 218 yards and two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Troy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salado only rushed for 74.

Troy wouldn't let Salado keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Ryder Sommer, Grayson Bogausch, and Chandler Milton picked up one apiece. Sommer also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles. Micah Mckissick was another major factor on D, making five total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 33-11 margin over McGregor.
