Independence had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They secured  a  43-37 W over the Walnut Ridge Scots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  62-44  back in January.

Independence has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points per game. As for Walnut Ridge, they now  have a losing record at 9-10.
