Basketball Recap: Rocky Grove Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rocky Grove can now relate to. They came up short against the Neshannock Lancers on Saturday, falling 64-39. The matchup marked the Orioles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Rocky Grove still got an impressive performance from Landen Carter, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 19 points. Carter is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Schiffer Anderson, who posted three points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Rocky Grove and nudges their season record down to 21-5. As for Neshannock, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.

Rocky Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Neshannock, they will challenge Greensburg Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
