Baseball Recap: Herron Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Herron proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 18) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Morristown Yellow Jackets 10-9. Winning may never get old, but the Achaeans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Colvin Meek, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Keane Ricchiuto was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Herron's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Morristown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Herron wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 0-0 victory against Christel House on the 1st. As for Morristown, they have also already played their next match, a 6-5 loss against Edinburgh on the 1st.
