Preview: Idaho City Wildcats vs. Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies
Idaho City is 2-8 against Greenleaf Friends Academy since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Idaho City Wildcats will be playing at home against the Greenleaf Friends Academy Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. Greenleaf Friends Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Idaho City, who comes in off a win.
Back in November, Idaho City was fully in charge, breezing past Centennial Baptist 53-13 at home. The win was just what Idaho City needed coming off of a 56-21 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Greenleaf Friends Academy's 17-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were the victim of a rough 41-21 defeat at the hands of Rimrock on Wednesday.
Despite the loss, Greenleaf Friends Academy got a solid performance out of HOPE MILLER, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. MILLER scored a full 66.7% of Greenleaf Friends Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Idaho City back to even at 1-1. As for Greenleaf Friends Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Idaho City and Greenleaf Friends Academy were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January, but Idaho City came up empty-handed after a 37-36 loss. Can Idaho City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
