Soccer Game Preview: Chambers vs. West Charlotte

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Chambers challenge West Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Chambers was handed a five-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They beat North Mecklenburg by a goal, winning 2-1. Chambers haven't had any issues with North Mecklenburg recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Rubi Martinez was the driving force of Chambers' attack as she scored both of Chambers' goals, bringing her season total up to eight goals.

Meanwhile, West Charlotte can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Harding University a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but West Charlotte were the better team in the second half.

Chambers now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for West Charlotte, their win bumped their record up to 2-10-1.
