Baseball Recap: Jay Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jay can now relate to. They fell just short of the Holmes County Blue Devils by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Royals have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Jay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jax Lowery, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Lowery is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.

Jay's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Holmes County, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 24-4.

As of now, neither Jay nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
