Football Recap: Fairland Starts off Right with Win over Chelsea + How To Watch

Fairland had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 49-6 victory over the Chelsea Dragons. With the Owls ahead 35-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Fairland had a senior duo take command as Carson Schertz rushed for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Caine Bowers rushed for 85 yards and one score on only nine carries. Schertz also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending one pass.

Fairland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 322 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chelsea only rushed for 125 rushing yards.

Fairland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bostyn Stephens and Colt Kinsey. Stephens got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Coming up, Fairland will head out to challenge Commerce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chelsea, they will host Ketchum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
