With a playoff win on the line, Valley Christian rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Delta Saints get on the board and left with a 19-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won ten matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jack Grexton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Domminic Eyster was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Loudon Carter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI.

Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only posted a batting average of .000.

Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Delta, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Valley Christian nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
