Basketball Recap: Wapello Takes a Loss

Wapello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 68-42 to the Pekin Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-42 back in December of 2024.

Wapello's record is now 0-9. As for Pekin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Wapello will be playing at home against Louisa-Muscatine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Louisa-Muscatine's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Pekin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-49 defeat against Sigourney on the 11th.
