Vinemont came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Holly Pond Broncos as they made off with a 13-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Carson Drummond looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). That's the fewest hits he has allowed over his last four matchups.

At the plate, Owen McKinney was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Hale, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Vinemont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Vinemont's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Holly Pond, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Vinemont will have a chance to go back-to-back against Holly Pond: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
