Gulf put their dominant defense on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mitchell Mustangs a 7-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-6 two weeks ago.

Gulf didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Christianna McKinney and Alana Delaney.

Gulf's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Mitchell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Gulf will take on Fivay at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. Gulf's defense has only allowed 2.6 points per game this season, so Fivay's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Mitchell, they will venture away from home to square off against Anclote at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Mitchell: 11.8, Anclote: 13) so any points scored will be well earned.
