Football Game Preview: Floyd County Buffaloes vs. Glenvar Highlanders + How To Watch

Floyd County is 1-9 against Glenvar since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Buffaloes will host the Highlanders at 7:00 p.m.

Floyd County is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Radford on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Buffaloes came up short against the Bobcats, falling 44-21. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

The losing side was boosted by Sam Phillips, who rushed for 116 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 53 yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Max Harris, who rushed for 109 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Meanwhile, Glenvar put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 56-6 win over Patrick County. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.

Floyd County's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Glenvar, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
