Volleyball Recap: Clovis East Takes a Loss

Clovis East saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against the Marina Vikings, falling 3-0. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Marina got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Calleigh Barry out in front who had 51 assists and seven digs. Those seven digs gave Barry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abby Piramo, who had 17 digs and two aces.

Clovis East now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Marina, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-8.

Clovis East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Rosary Academy on the 27th. As for Marina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Santa Monica on the 27th.
