Santa Teresa extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-0. They claimed a resounding 42-7 win over the Leigh Longhorns. With the Saints ahead 28-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

As for Leigh, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 515th, while Santa Teresa is ranked 233rd).

Despite the loss, Leigh still got an impressive performance from Blake Zanger, who rushed for 172 yards and one touchdown. Zanger's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
