Basketball Recap: Crossroads Christian's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Crossroads Christian lost against North Raleigh Christian Academy back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crossroads Christian Colts fell 51-42 to the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights.

Despite the defeat, Crossroads Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ely Phillips posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Smith, who scored seven points and six rebounds.

Brennen Jefferson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Raleigh Christian Academy, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. That's the most points Jefferson has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cooper Herakovich, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Crossroads Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-10 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crossroads Christian will challenge New Garden Friends at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crossroads Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will take on Ravenscroft at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. North Raleigh Christian Academy also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 53.7 points per game.
