Preview: King vs. West Brook
King is 0-10 against West Brook since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The King Panthers will look to defend their home pitch against the West Brook Bruins at 7:30 p.m.
King fell victim to Summer Creek's stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were the victim of a tough 8-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. King has not had much luck with Summer Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
In what's become a running theme this season, West Brook gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Beaumont United a 8-0 shutout. While fans of West Brook might be used to big wins, the eight-goal margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
King's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7-1. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored zero goals over those three matches. As for West Brook, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.
King might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from West Brook in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can King avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
