Meanwhile, King Academy strolled into their game last Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their game with ease, bagging a 54-16 victory over Richard Winn Academy. Considering the Knights have won six matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

King Academy found their leader in sophomore Joseph Morse, who rushed for 215 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries. Morse has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Rabar, who rushed for 77 yards and one TD.

King Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Elijah Hutto and Casen Buzhardt. Another thorn in Richard Winn Academy's side was Jacob Bussey, who made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

King Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Newberry Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
