Soccer Recap: Greer Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Greer can now relate to. They fell just short of the Southside Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Greer were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Southside apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Greer's goal came courtesy of Isael Ignac?o, who's now up to ten this season.

Greer's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Southside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Greer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southside, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Daniel on the 17th.
