Discovery Canyon came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Air Academy, but Shelbe Lyons wouldn't allow it. The Kadets came out on top against the Thunder by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Lyons, who had 17 digs and four assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Air Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 26-24, 25-11, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Discovery Canyon still got an impressive performance from Ava Grimm, who had 15 assists and 12 digs.

The win snapped Air Academy's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-4 record. As for Discovery Canyon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Air Academy will challenge rival Palmer Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Discovery Canyon is set to face off against their familiar foe Cheyenne Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
