Houston Academy came tearing into Monday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Carroll Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-2. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 24 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Houston Academy's win bumped their record up to 31-6. As for Carroll, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season.

Houston Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-1 victory against Headland on the 4th. As for Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-9 win against Eufaula on the 4th.
