Basketball Recap: Longview Find Success

Longview won the last time they faced Rockwall-Heath, and Jailiyah Rockmore did her part to make sure it happened again. The Longview Lobos were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over the Rockwall-Heath Hawks on Tuesday thanks in part to Rockmore, who went 8 for 13 en route to 24 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Maya Ward was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six boards and five assists. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Longview's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Rockwall-Heath, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-19.

Longview will venture away from home to face off against North Forney at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Longview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season. As for Rockwall-Heath, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockwall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockwall will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Rockwall-Heath surely won't give up without a fight.
