West Union put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They never let the Houlka Wildcats get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

West Union is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Houlka, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Union beat the Wildcats by a score of 21-0 on Thursday.
