Baseball Recap: North Sand Mountain Wins Going Away Against Hanceville

While North Sand Mountain put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Hanceville. Everything went the North Sand Mountain Bison's way against the Hanceville Bulldogs as the North Sand Mountain Bison made off with an 18-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bison.

Carson Harvey made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched. Harvey was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, North Sand Mountain got a massive performance out of Landon Keller, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Luke Reed, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

North Sand Mountain now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Hanceville, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Sand Mountain will head out to challenge North Jackson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Hanceville is facing Ashville at the right time seeing as Ashville is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
