Basketball Recap: Marietta Takes a Loss

Marietta lost against East Paulding back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Marietta Blue Devils fell to the East Paulding Raiders 61-56.

Marietta's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for East Paulding, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Marietta will take on Mount Vernon in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marietta knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Mount Vernon likes a good challenge. As for East Paulding, they will be home for the holidays to greet Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexander knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully East Paulding likes a good challenge.
