Brownstown/St. Elmo had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cumberland Pirates 36-33. The win continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.
