While McCrory's victory against Carlisle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bison 5-4.

Morgan Stuckey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bentlee Rudick, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Silver Poole, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

McCrory is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Carlisle, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCrory will welcome Palestine-Wheatley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carlisle, they will face off against Beebe at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bison's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Badgers have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
